Statement by John Catsimatidis on Mayor Bloomberg's Veto of the Community Safety Act
John Catsimatidis said, "This afternoon Mayor Bloomberg vetoed the Community Safety Act. He took the right action in vetoing a misguided piece of legislation that will empower criminals and handcuff the NYPD. I urge all New Yorkers to stand with Mayor Bloomberg, Commissioner Kelly and our Police Department in calling for the City Council to uphold the Mayor's veto of this ridiculous and dangerous legislation."
