Public Statement by Stavros Vitalis, Chairman of the Patriotic Front of Greece on TAP pipeline.
With the finalization of the agreement on the azerian/turkish pipeline TAP, Samaras completes his disastrous choices for the country.
With this move, Prime Minister Samaras, integrates Greece, to an energy axis, which guarantees, only geostrategic problems for our country. Since this option is known as casus beli for Russia.
Samaras, after the ousting of his last link with Moscow, (former government spokesman Mr Simos Kedikoglou), cuts permanently ties with our natural and historic alliance.
At the same time, with the direct involvement of the Greek Armed Forces, within the haphazard choices of NATO, he leads Greece in dangerous adventures, the results of which appear to be similar to those by Eleftherios Venizelos, in 1919: His decision to send a mission of a Greek brigade against the Bolsheviks, together with the invasion of the West forces, in the territory of the then revolutionary Russia.
A choice that led – apart from the hundreds of dead Greek soldiers – to the decision of V.I. Lenin to support militarily Mustafa Kemal. Which resulted the effects of the Asia Minor Catastrophe and the displacement of thousands of Greeks in the then Soviet Union by J. Stalin.
Patriotic / democratic forces of the country, must stop the downhill which has taken by Mr Samaras. And it must be stopped now!
