he Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated on Thursday that the Turkish Army will never ‘hesitate’ to enter any place in Syria if it poses a threat to his nation’s security.

“Turkey will never hesitate to enter Afrin or any other area that poses a threat,” the Turkish Foreign Minister stated.

The Turkish military and their proxies have repeatedly attacked the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the Afrin Canton of northwest Aleppo, prompting the latter to respond with missiles and artillery shells.

Ankara views the YPG and their allies in the same light as the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which is often their justification for attacking the Kurdish forces in Syria.
